The Next Level of Customer Service: Optura brings

Business Process collaboration with vendors to market

It’s not enough in today’s business environment to just “stay in touch” with your customers; a new level of involvement and partnership is required to provide the kind of cross-organizational-collaboration-based answers that companies need. Optura is addressing this need with a portal product strategy called xCollaboration which is specifically designed to include a company’s vendors in the business process.

An example of this collaboration is Optura’s AP Invoice Exception that works seamlessly within SAP. Invoices provide their own set of unique challenges. For the company, they include a major drain of valuable internal resources, jeopardized vendor payment schedules due to lack of information and miscommunication, increased cycle time, and processing cost.

Vendors face certain challenges as well: not knowing the status of an invoice, sending duplicate invoices and having to navigate through a customers exception process when looking to resolve issues surrounding an invoice.

Optura is changing this dynamic by providing a way for a company to include their vendors in the business process. Using xCollaboration AP Vendor Portal, the process is designed to give a vendor’s business the ability to answer their questions in an easy to use, self-service browser-based experience that plugs-in to existing portal platforms. For example, a vendor can retrieve current and historical payment information and PO’s at a time and place convenient for them and without AP processor assistance. Vendors are also given the capability to submit invoices electronically thru the web. They can be notified of payment exceptions and respond to next steps to speed the resolution of issues.

The value proposition of xCollaboration AP Vendor Portal provides some key benefits for this next level of online collaboration and partnership:

· Easy to use Web access for viewing invoices
· Reduction in time and effort used in supporting vendors
· Reduces manual invoice entry within A/P
· Real-time data available
· Removes waiting and delays as vendors search for answers
· Integrated and configured with existing SAP platform and Optura Workflow solution
· Unlimited scalability with minimal impact on internal resources
· Leverages existing investment in SAP and Optura solution

Optura is taking business process optimization a step further with this portal product strategy solution. It will reduce cost, save time and help your company be known for a different, more sophisticated and more valuable level of customer satisfaction.

FROM THEORY TO APPLICATION: Success at Optura

Optura and SBI and Company form alliance to deliver web services infrastructure to global chemical company.

Optura and SBI and Company combined forces to provide a compelling infrastructure solution for a large global chemical company’s Marketing and Order Center. This came about due to the technical expertise, assessment and web service vision that Optura and SBI provide in the market place.

The chemical company enlisted the help of SBI early this year to assess its e-business strategy and SAP implementation. A team was assembled, with Optura providing technical analysis, of the Order Center and its ability to grow and serve customers in the future. The SBI/Optura team concluded that while sufficient to meet current demands, the company’s Order Center was built upon an out dated infrastructure and would not be able to support its future e-business strategy and market growth.

The report also suggested that the chemical company employ Web Service Technology to expand their service offering and transform technology investments into a strategic platform. This technology would package e-business functionalities such as product selection and order status checking as web services deliverable to end customers’ desktops.

Optura’s deep knowledge of integration technologies paired perfectly with SBI to provide a robust solution for this company’s needs. Phase 1 of this project is scheduled for an August completion. For More Information:
